There were many enraged by the flooding of Lake Pedder and the Serpentine River but little could be done to stop it back in the 60's and 70's. As a positive, apart from the electricity generation, it provides boat ramps, campsites and recreational fishing for Tasmanians and other tourists. Teds Beach is just one example.
